AVATAR2 Open Day - in the news

AVATAR2 has hit the news this week as we count down to our Glasgow Open Day Event on Thursday 6th May. The story has been covered by Science Focus, Innovation Origins and inews.

Our very talented Trial Coordinator for Glasgow, Dr Moya Clancy, also went live on air on Tuesday 4th May to talk about AVATAR2 to TimesRadio’s Mariella Frostrup. Listen again here: (you can skip directly to Moya's interview which starts 2hrs, 21minutes and18 seconds into the show!)

Come along to our free online Glasgow Open Day event on Thursday 6th May to meet our fantastic Glasgow team based at the University of Glasgow (pictured). Learn about Avatar therapy from our Therapy Coordinator Dr Nikos Xanidis, and hear how the trial is progressing in Glasgow from Dr Moya Clancy. You will also have the opportunity to hear directly from our Glasgow Patient & Public Involvement group about how we are including people with lived experience of hearing voices within the trial. We are delighted to confirm there will also be talks from 2 guest speakers: Dr Alastair Cook, Associate Medical Director at NHS Lanarkshire , and Dr Vanessa Pinfold: Co-founder and research director of the McPin Foundation. This free event will take place on MS Teams and will include a Q&A in the programme .
